Finally

Well, this Thailand trip begins tommorrow folks. We have a few days of training in Miami before we head out. Our team is stoked! I have barely slept the past few nights! To think that 8 months ago I was praying about where God wants me this summer, and here we are! We will be in Chiang Mai, Chiang Kham, and Phitsanulok. We will be doing a lot of human traffick work, rice planting, English camps, praying in the slums, and just pure awesomeness! Please be praying for the girls in Thailand that their hearts will be opened to recieve Jesus, and pray for my team that we can be obedient and be changed on this trip.
We will sometimes have internet, will try to update when I can!

The past week has just been so much fun. God is really blessing my time left at home with the people I love most. Its really awesome.
"Be still and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
Back in April when I was having some anxiety problems about the coming fall and the future, I had this verse everywhere to remind me to be still, be silent, and pray. With all the chaos going on and busyness of summer, I've slipped from this truth and reminder. This morning during some awesome quiet time with God, he reminded me of this. To be still.
If you've never just laid in your bed completely quiet for 11 minutes just listening and resting in Gods presence, I recommend it :)

Lets Enjoy

Okay. Sarah Shiff and I leave for Thailand in a little over 3 weeks. I leave for college in exactly 2 months. My brother is getting married in 4 months. My sister is moving to Haiti next year. What is going on?!!

For now, I'm having the best summer with the best friends and family a girl could ask for. Trying to enjoy naps, evening runs, my bed, and just chill time that would typically be considered boredom. But its not right now, its enjoyment. God is doing a lot of changing in me currently, changing some desires and I've been convicted of a lot of things lately. But his promises are true. always.

I am currently VERY thankful for the girls in these pictures.

Some Rest

Well, the month of May is just about over. Its been crazy.
Graduation, parties, family, my sister came home from a 9 month trip, and a whole lot of fun.

I got a little over a month of my time left here with my amazing friends, until Sarah Shiff and I leave for Thailand, and then leave for college shortly after that. I cant stop thinking about Thailand. I pray that while I'm there, God will use me, break me, lead me, and show me new things. I pray he will change my heart, and draw me closer to him.
But for now, its just rest. Its resting in him, its resting in my own room that i wont be in for much longer.

I had orientation in Savannah, Georgia this weekend. All day long, tours and listening to speeches, getting papers. Ya know, boring stuff. I know now God has a lot in store for this next year in Savannah. Anxiety, nerves, excited, scared, so many emotions run through my head when I think about it. I am going to have to be fully dependant on God, probably more than Ive ever had to be. But this is good for me.
My sister comes home in 16 days.
I graduate high school in less than a month.
